The 'Westertoren' is the highest church tower in Amsterdam (89m), and a landmark structure for this city in Holland (the Netherlands). Building was finished in 1637 and designed by the famous Dutch architect Hendrick de Keyser, but probably finished by Jacob van Kampen in a different shape, this was the tower Anne Frank was able to see from her room in the 'Achterhuis' and chiming of the carillon was a source of comfort to her as mentioned in her diary. The resolution of the original photograph is 3588*7491.

De Westertoren is de hoogste kerktoren in Amsterdam (89m), en een bekende bezienswaardigheid in deze Nederlandse hoofdstad. Deze toren, welke voltooid is in 1637 en oorspronkelijk ontworpen door de beroemde Nederlandse architect Hendrick de Keyser is mogelijk afgebouwd door Jacob van Kampen, en kon door Anne Frank worden gezien vanuit haar kamer in het Achterhuis; het carillon was een bron van troost voor haar, zoals beschreven in haar dagboek. De resolutie van de oorspronkelijke foto is 3588*7491.
