Summary
Description Volunteers clean up Trinity River (52243460393).jpg |
Volunteers grabbed their rafts, kayaks and tubes to set afloat on the Trinity River with a mission in mind - to clean up trash from the bottom of the river and its banks. Over 1 ton of debris was removed by the 50 volunteers, which included folks from the Trinity County Resource Conservation District, Trinity River Restoration Program, the U.S. Forest Service - Shasta-Trinity National Forest and staff from the BLM Redding Field Office. Some of the volunteers stuck to the shore and cleaned up various river access points and campgrounds. We thank everyone who helped with this clean-up, which focused on the section between Old Lewiston Bridge to Evans Bar.
