Description
English: A marine from Uruguay performs clearing techniques at Camp Blanding, Fla., April 18, 2009, during Partnership of the Americas 2009, a multiservice, multinational exercise. Partnership of the Americas 2009 is the oldest combined exercise within the U.S. Department of Defense. U.S. Marines with the 24th Marine Regiment conduct training exercises with marines from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay and soldiers from Canada as a part of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force 24. More than 25 ships, 50 rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, 650 marines, 6,500 sailors and four submarines will participate in the exercise.
