English: BAY OF BENGAL (Sept. 22, 2011) Capt. Abdullah Al Mamun, commanding officer of the Bangladesh navy frigate BNS Bangabandhu (F 25), fires a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun during a surface gunnery exercise as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bangladesh 2011. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness. Bangladesh is participating in this exercise for the first time.
