Robert Selders, right, assigned to the 502nd Dental Company at Fort Hood, Texas, prepare a sedated U.S. Customs and Border Protection working dog for a root canal. Spc. Destry Self, left, an Army veterinary technician is assisting during the procedure. Army and Navy medical professionals performed examinations and surgical procedures on approximately 68 military and Department of Homeland Security working dogs during a weeklong partnership at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
