Summary

Description
English: Sapporo, Japan (Feb. 9, 2006) - Illuminated trees and ice sculptures line the streets leading up to Sapporo's TV Tower during the Sapporo Ice Festival. These were just some of the many spectacular ice and snow sculptures Sailors and Marines stationed aboard the amphibious command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) had a chance to see during the ship's four-day visit to Japan. Blue Ridge and the embarked 7th Fleet staff deployed in January, to complete routine port visits and community relations projects throughout the 7th Fleet area of operation (AOR).
