(DD-152) on 21 August 1942. She had completed modifications for convoy escort duties: the after stack has been deleted and the other three lowered, and the armament altered. In addition to new 76mm guns and two torpedo mounts, the ship now had four 20mm antiaircraft guns, two depth-charge racks, and six Mk 6 depth-charge mortars.
