he costa and termen are narrowly margined with black, the termenwith a narrow lilac-grey line at the base of the dark fuscous cilia;underside pale orange-ochreous, the costa and termen marginedwith dark fuscous, with some blackish interneural shading. Exp.al. 34 mm. Hind-wings orange-ochreous, with a broad black basalpatch, and narrowly black at the apex and along the termen; theblack basal patch extends to beyond the cell and is irregular inoutline, having four or five tooth-like extensions along the veins;cilia orange-ochreous, black at their base at the apex and along thetermen; underside as above, but with an orange-ochreous streakin the cell above the media and the black terminal line extendingto vein 2. Abdomen blackish, pale orange-ochreous beneath. Legsorange-ochreous, outwardly shaded with fuscous. Type $ (300237), B. M. Hob. Biak Id., VI. 1914 (A. C. and F. Pratt). Unique;Mr. J. J. Joicey has kindly presented this specimen to the Museum. Trans. Ent. Soc. Lond., 1916, PL III.
