Total_solar_eclipse_2017_at_Orin_Junction,_Wyoming_-_03.jpg

Summary

Description
English: A total solar eclipse viewed from Orin Junction , Wyoming in 2017. The sun's plasma atmosphere, or corona , surrounds the moon's silhouette, with magnetic field lines visible emanating from the north and south poles of the sun (10 o'clock and 4 o'clock positions). Orin Junction is at Exit 126 on Interstate 25, south of Douglas . The picture was taken directly with a pocket digital camera, the Canon SX720 HS , without any filter. The camera was held on a car roof to stabilise the zoomed telephoto image.
