English: Frontispiece to Cassell's Old and New Edinburgh , showing Old St Cuthbert's and the Nor' Loch (from a drawing by John Clerk of Eldin). Clerk's original sketch must have been drawn at some point prior to 1773, when Old St Cuthbert's was torn down and replaced by a Georgian edifice.
