The Talbot Memorial Bridge and the Ulster Bank Buildings The bridge over the Liffey was completed in 1978 and is named for Matt Talbot, a Dublin labourer and one-time alcoholic, who became a religious mystic and a temperance campaigner. A statue of Venerable Matt Talbot stands at the south end of the bridge. The towers on the right form the centre piece of the Ulster Bank's Republic of Ireland HQ.
