Kauppakatu, Tampereen entinen pääkatu, vuonna 1893. Kadun päätteenä näkyy C. L. Engelin suunnittelema Vanhan kirkon tapuli, joka on rakennettu vuonna 1828. Valokuvan vasemmassa laidassa on F. L. Caloniuksen piirtämä Spriitehtaan talo (myöhemmältä kutsumanimeltään Branderin talo; Kauppakatu 16). Rakennus valmistui 1891, ja se purettiin 1962.
