Graham's Hotel during the floods, Brisbane, 1893.
Graham's Hotel was erected in 1887 in Stanley Street, South Brisbane. In later years it underwent many name changes, usually carrying the name of the licensee (eg. Long's Hotel). It was latterly the Manhattan Hotel eventually being demolished, ca. 1973. (Description supplied with photograph). The entire street level of the hotel, up to the top of the windows, is submerged beneath the flood waters. |
