Summary
Description St George in the East 05.jpg | St-George-in-the-East (1714-29), by Nicholas Hawksmoor. The interior of the church was burnt out during the Blitz, and so there's now a modern church built 1960-64 by Ansell & Bailey within the shell of the old walls. Plasterwork in the apse is 18th century, whilst the mosaic panels below date from 1880. |
