Description
English: The New Amsterdam Plein at the north end of Peter Minuit Plaza in South Ferry, at State Street / Water Street and Whitehall Street in the Financial District, Manhattan. The "plein" (plaza) opened in 2011, with numerous callbacks to the Dutch colonial history of New York City. Pictured is the pinwheel-shaped pavilion, which serves as a restaurant and information booth.
