Dronning Sofie
Dronning Sofie var dansk dronning fra 1157, hvor hun som 16-årig blev gift med kong Valdemar den Store (1157-82). Hun blev født i Rusland ca. 1141 og døde i 1198. Busten er lavet over afstøbning af kranium taget ved åbning af hendes grav i Domkirken i Ringsted, Skt. Bendts Kirke, i 1855, i øvrigt under ledelse af daværende kong Frederik VII.

Sofie était la reine danoise à partir de 1157, lorsqu'elle épousa le roi Valdemar le Grand (1157-1182) à l'âge de 16 ans. Elle est née en Russie env. 1141 et décédée en 1198. Le buste a été réalisé sur le moulage du crâne à l'ouverture de sa tombe dans la cathédrale de Ringsted, Skt. Bendts Church, en 1855, à l'époque le roi était Frederik VII.
