Shale mining near Murrurundi NSW (Australian Town and Country Journal, 24 Mar 1909, Page 39). Photgraph shows miners working the oil shale seam at Mt Temi near Murrurundi, during the time that the lease was controlled by the Australian Shale Syndicate. The lease was transferred to the newly-formed British Australian Oil Company in 1910.
