"เครื่องหมายราชการแห่งกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมเป็นรูปบุษบกประดิษฐานดวงประทีปภายใต้ซุ้มเรือนแก้วเหนือหมู่ลายเมฆ หมายความถึงปัญญาซึ่งเป็นรากฐานของวัฒนธรรม"

ภาพนี้มีฐานะเป็นเครื่องหมายราชการ กำหนดอยู่ใน ประกาศสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี เรื่อง กำหนดภาพเครื่องหมายราชการ ตามพระราชบัญญัติเครื่องหมายราชการ พุทธศักราช 2482 (ฉบับที่ 179) ลงวันที่ 15 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2545 ประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เล่ม 120 ตอนที่ 11 ง วันที่ 6 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2546 หน้า 3
