Description
English: The seal of the City of Lewiston, Maine , with its motto emblazoned in a banner at the lower-center, "Industria". Clockwise from left, behind the shield, are a caduceus , arm and hammer, a traditional beehive or skep , a hoe, and a rake with a scythe. Inside the shield we see a mill at the right, next to the Lewiston Falls Dam and a steam engine crossing the railroad tracks which sit adjacent to it.
