Summary

Description The Chinese characters 三 sān , meaning "three" and "one", and as a single word "three-one". It is interpretable as a philosophical concept, meaning the expression of the one and only principle of the universe (Tao, Wuji) as a trinity (yin, yang and/in their harmony). "Three-One" is the name of a Chinese folk religious sect (Sanyiism or Xiaism) of Fujian based on this theology.
