  • Inaugurée le 26 octobre 1895 par Raymond Poincaré au Jardin de l'Infante, Louvre, Paris,
  • En 1966, la statue quitte le Jardin de l'Infante pour être mis reserve au dépôt de l'État.
  • Intallée en 1980 au parc Meissonier , à Poissy.
Inscriptions

Sur le socle sont inscrit les titres des tableaux les plus célèbres de Meissonier :

  • sur le côté droit : La rixe / Les joueurs de boules / le Chant / la Madone des Baccio / le portrait du sergent,
  • sur le côté gauche : La barricade 1848 / Solférino / les Tuileries / le Guide / Siège de Paris, 1870-1871,
  • au revers :Iéna 1806 / les cuirassiers / Campagne de France 1814 / le Général Desaix Friedland 1807
