Er wurde erbaut von Jeffrey Wyatt, dem spätern Sir Jeffrey Wyattville für William Wyndham IV (1769-1841) von Dinton und Norrington. 1917 verkaufte William Wyndham (1868-1950) die Immobilie an Bertram Philipps (1870-1947), dem jüngeren Sohn der Familie der Philipps Baronets von Picton Castle, Pembrokeshire und High Sheriff von Wiltshire.
