Bhoota kola or Daivaradhane is a ritual followed in the coastal region of Karnataka. Panjurli is a very popular diety worshiped in Udupi & Mangalore district of Karnataka. Panjurli is worshiped by most the families of this region for the protection of their land, paddy fields and also for the well being of family members. According to the folklore It is said that Panjurli is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of Varaha (Wild Boar) who came from Tirupati to Tulunadu (coastal Karnataka).
