67th annual Feast of Addolorata procession in the
Carroll Gardens
neighborhood of Brooklyn. On
Good Friday
and on the second Sunday of September the congregation of Maria SS. Addolorata organize a procession with an
Our Lady of Sorrows
statue. The tradition started with Italian immigrants from
Mola di Bari
celebrating the Feast of their hometown patroness, Our Lady of Sorrows, in the 1940s.
