Description: Battle of Polygon Wood 26 September - 3 October: A new barrel is lowered into position on an 8 inch howitzer by the Army Ordnance Corps .


Comment : This is an 8 inch howitzer utilizing bored-out and shortended 6 inch naval gun barrel. Probably a BL 8 inch Howitzer Mk V.
