, Mysore rocket man by British artist Robert Home. Indian soldier of Tipu Sultan's army is shown lifting a rocket from ground, holding its head-end by one hand and lighting the fuse by another. The traditional costume of Tipu's infantry generally consists of a 'Tyger Jacket', a long purple woollen shirt with white diamond formed spots on it. On his head the soldier wears a red and white muslin turban, matching the red sash around his waist. Beneath his white trousers, his legs and feet are bare.
