Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States (January 28, 2023) - In preparation for potential civil unrest, the Minneapolis Police Department's fifth precinct station at 3101 Nicollet Avenue is surrounded by security fencing that was installed ahead of the January 27, 2023, release of video of the police assault on Tyre Nichols that occurred in in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 7, 2023. Nichols died three days after the assault and the police officers involved were charged with murder.
