Description
English: Skeletal formula of meldonium (trade name Mildronate ) — a structural γ-butyrobetaine ( carnitine precursor) analog used in Russia and several other countries as part of a complex treatment regimen of coronary artery disease , heart failure and cerebrovascular diseases . It is also indicated in excessive mental or physical strain, asthenia , alcohol withdrawal syndrome and several eye disorders (such as retinopathy ).
