McDonnell Douglas F-15A-1-MC Eagle 71-0280 (also known as YF-15A; first F-15 manufactured). The F-15A makes its historic first flight on July 27, 1972 here at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. The F-15 was first delivered to the U.S. Air Force in November 1974.
Now at USAF History and Traditions Museum, Lackland AFB, TX. (Reported in 2005 to be at Lackland AFB, TX but painted as "85-0114".)
