Photograph indicates from the caption that it might have been taken in India in 1931, which would be in the public domain as indicated above. Have been unable to locate any evidence of publication outside the US in the period of origin (1930s). It may have been part of a press package to advertise a speaking tour by Cousins and her husband undertaken in the US in 1932, as a similar image in the same dress and jewelry appears in Baker, Gladys. "Popular Ideas of India are Exploded". (22 May 1932) Birmingham, Alabama: The Birmingham News-Age Herald . p 47 . Search of copyright.gov records indicate no renewal. No images related to Margaret E. Cousins as a keyword, title or person have been renewed, however there are texts renewed for Margaret (nmi) Cousins. The National Women's Party, who published Equal Rights , renewed their papers and photographs from 1913 to 1920, (i.e. Registration Number / Date: TX0000648990 / 1981-02-27, Application Title: The National Woman’s Party papers: the suffrage years, 1913-1920, Imprint: Sanford, N.
