Ball-and-stick model of part of the crystal structure of malachite highlighting the formula unit Cu 2 CO 3 (OH) 2 within the wider coordination environment . The crystal structure was determined by neutron diffraction and reported in Z. Krist. (1977) 145 , 412-426 ( COD entry 5000043 ).
