Summary

Description
English: This tree in the Toronto Islands had just been struck by lightning minutes earlier during a very brief but intense thundershower when the picture was taken. The charge travelled down the tree into the ground causing a very visible wound in the tree's bark. The photographer was right nearby at the time of the strike and experienced a thunderbolt.
