Description
English: White layia, or whitedaisy tidytips, (Layia glandulosa) face-on view of flower, with bud. The disc flowers form a deep yellow mound; the 3-14 (typically 5, as here) ray flowers are white, broad, 3-lobed, and do look "tidy"; the bud, the stems and the opposite leaves are covered in glandular hairs. At 5,500 ft (1,700 m) between Paradise and Swall Meadows, Mono County, California, in the Eastern Sierra Nevada.
