English: Persian Gulf (Sept. 22, 2006) - The Japanese supply ship JDS Mashu (AOE-425) pulls along side the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) for a replenishment at sea (RAS). Iwo Jima recently deployed from her homeport of Norfolk, Va., and began a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. European Command and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) areas of responsibility (AOR) to conduct Maritime Security Operations (MSO).
