Description The true diameter of dwarf planet candidate 28978 Ixion depends on the albedo (the fraction of light that it reflects). You can have a smaller body that is more reflective or you can have a larger body that is less reflective. The Spitzer Space Telescope has estimated Ixion to have a diameter of 650 ( +260 / -220 ) km with an albedo of 0.12 ( +0.14 / -0.06 ). Any ice dwarf with a diameter greater than 400 km is likely spherical.
