The map is captioned "Nationality Map," and includes the following note: "This map indicates the general results of investigations concerning the national complexion of various parts of the city. It is not based upon a house-to-house survey and therefore it can be regarded only as approximately accurate. There is more or less intermingling of nationalities in every section."
