English: Institute for Animal Health, Bakers Gate. This is the Pirbright Laboratory of the Institute for Animal Health, an international research centre working to improve the health of farm animals worldwide. It is the largest research institute in the United Kingdom dedicated to the study of infectious diseases of farm animals. It used to be a Cattle Testing Station and was also the reported source of the 2007 outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Surrey.
