Summary
Description Ingenuity flight 7 real-time animation (48 seconds).gif |
English:
This is the real-time animation where each frame displayed at 1 fps rate usually corresponds to 1 second of actual flight. For this animation of flight 7 of Ingenuity 72 frames acquired by the navigation camera (NAV) of the helicopter were used.
Animation starts from the photo taken at 12:33:34 local mean solar time on June 8, 2021 (sol 107 of the Perseverance rover mission), a few seconds after departure, when Ingenuity has already climbed to the flight level specified for this flight. Timestamp for the last photo is 12:34:22, a few fractions of a second before landing at Airfield D. The NAV camera is mounted in the helicopter’s fuselage and points directly downward to track the ground during flight. Image Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech |
