Hunstanton lighthouse. Viewed from across Lighthouse Close. The first Hunstanton lighthouse was built in 1666; the current building dates back to 1844 and it had the world's first parabolic reflector, which was built here in 1776. The present lighthouse ceased operating in 1922 and was converted into a private dwelling; it is currently advertised for sale on the property market. See also >
