Hull_down_tank_diagram.png

Summary

Description
English: This diagram shows the Hide, Turret-down and Hull-down positions that a tank may adopt. The tank shown on the right is an M1 Abrams with a maximum gun depression of about -10 degrees. The tank in grey further to the left is a T-72 which can only depress to -5 degrees, and is forced to adopt a more exposed position as a result.

This diagram image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file . This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{ vector version available | new image name }} .

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Hull down tank diagram.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva ) does not need the new image name parameter.
