Summary
| Description | For those of you not familiar with Highland Games, the easiest way to describe them is that the day is like a mixture of a village fete, school sports day and the Olympics. There are track and field events for all ages, cycle races, dancing competitions, piping competitions, a fun fair, food outlets and a beer tent. Competitions are both 'local' and 'open', with competitors coming from all over the world. There were entrants in Dornoch from as far afield as the USA, Australia and New Zealand. |
