One of the few remaining condemned buildings (
2379 Frederick Douglass Blvd
) in Harlem by 2005. It was demolished sometime before 2008, leaving behind an empty lot for several years.
Since 2011, an 8-storey apartment/office building named "Douglass Park" has stood here and on adjacent lots. It includes 70 rental apartments, with the residential entrance at 300 W 128th St. Note the sign was for Kennedy Fried Chicken (not Kentucky Fried Chicken) . The street-level business has been replaced by a health center ’s clinics and pharmacy (assigned building number at 2381 Frederick Douglass Blvd.) |
