Original description: LAS CEYES, Haiti (Sept. 10, 2008) Haitian National Police work with military personnel embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) to prepare food and water supplies for distribution to areas affected by recent hurricanes that have struck Haiti. Kearsarge has been diverted from the scheduled Continuing Promise 2008 humanitarian assistance deployment in the western Caribbean to conduct hurricane relief operations in Haiti.
