U.S. Marines hook up a cargo net on a Sikorsky HRS-2 helicopter (BuNo 130168) assigned to Marine transport squadron HMR-161 during "Operation Haylift II", which started on 23 February 1953. Over a four day period, an average of 12 HRS-2s, flew from dawn to dusk carrying a combined total of 14,330 kg (31,589 lb) per hour. Each aircraft made 27 round trips of the 24 km (15 mi) leg and carried 11 tons of supplies.
