Her Majesty's Ship Albion Entering the Bosphorus after the Action of the 17 October 1854 Repro ID: x2045 . 'Albion' was a 90-gun, 2nd rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy. Her first military action was in the Crimean War during the siege of Sevastopol on 17 October 1854. She is depicted, partially dismasted, entering the Bosphorus after the action. While the print was made after the original by E Goodenough, the art work is also attributed to Frederick Hotham Needham, Naval Instructor aboard the Albion. |
