Description AWM caption : PORT BOW VIEW OF THE CORVETTE HMAS KAPUNDA (J218) . KAPUNDA IS ARMED WITH A 4 INCH MARK XIX GUN ON A MARK XXIII MOUNTING IN PLACE OF THE MARK XVI GUN ON A MARK XX MOUNTING FORWARD ORIGINALLY FITTED. THREE SINGLE 20 MM OERLIKON AA GUNS ARE IN THE BRIDGE WINGS AND AFT. TYPE 271 SURFACE SEARCH IS MOUNTED ABOVE THE BRIDGE AND TYPE SC AT THE HEAD OF THE FOREMAST. HER ORIGINAL CAMOUFLAGE SCHEME OF TWO SHADES OF GREY HAS BEEN REPLACED BY A SCHEME OF ALL OVER DARK GREY, PROBABLY G10.
