English: Fulham Palace courtyard The palace was built in 1495. The palace was the country home of bishops of London from the 11th century. It is grade one listed, and is now in the care of Hammersmith and Fulham Council and the Fulham Palace Trust . In the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors London Awards 2008 recent lottery-funded restoration work was Winner in the Building Conservation Category and Runner Up in the Overall Category.
