Summary
Description Freed Afro-American Community in Rocky Point HM.jpg |
English:
A historical marker along the eastbound lanes of
New York State Route 25A
in
Rocky Point, New York
, marking the site of a former community run by former African-American slaves. This is located across from what would be the southeast corner of the intersection of Patchogue Drive which only has an intersection with the westbound lanes. The marker is now on land known as the Rocky Point Natural Resources Management Area, previously known as
RCA
's Radio Central facility.
NOTE: This was not taken from my car. I had to pull over to the shoulder and get out of my car in order to get a shot of it. |
