Summary
Description Former Gate House Baptist Chapel (Tin Tabernacle), School Road, Hadlow Down (June 2015) (1).JPG | The former Gate House Baptist Chapel, School Road, Hadlow Down, Wealden District, East Sussex, England. A tin tabernacle erected on its present site in 1907, about 20 years after originally being built by Henry Donkin on a site elsewhere in the village. It closed in 1940 but remarkably survives; Google Streetview had it down as a car valet workshop in 2011, but on this visit in 2015 it appears to be no longer used for that purpose. |
