Summary

Description
English: References and inferences for features in the artwork:

10 tentacles of equal lengths, inferred from the related Treptoceras. Impressions corresponding to Treptoceras (Flower 1955b figure) indicate the presence of 10 tentacles, this is also supported by the fact that they were closely related to Nautilus in Palcephalopoda, which originally have 10 tentacles which later split into some 90 tentacles.

Adhesive ridges on arms rather than hooks or suckers inferred from Nautilus.

Tripartite aptychopsis/operculum (Turek, 1978; Holland et al. 1978; Stridsberg, 1984) Alternatively, the three valves have been interpreted as jaws by some, but there's not much support for that claim.

Pinhole type eye inferred from Nautilus.

Spotted patterning on shell based on E. proteiforme (lost specimen, Marsh 1869) and related Anthoceras vaginatum (Kröger 2012)
